Opening of Harry Potter theme park

Universal Orlando orator Tom Schroder said 5;000 people were waiting to get in before the park opened.
Thousands queue for the opening of Harry-Potter theme park ; where they were greeted by films' a gtrat stars; including Daniel Radcliffe.

The Wizarding World of Harry-Potter opened at the Universal Orlando Resort in Florida on Friday.

The 20-acre site includes rides; shops and reproductions of the fictitious village of Hogsmeade; the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and the Hogwarts Express train.
Radcliffe said the park; based on JK Rowling's hugely successful novels; was the ‘next part of the Potter legacy’.
Aerial photos showed thousands of people waiting to enter the park for the first time. On Twitter and other forums; they joked that the park had become ‘Harry-Potter and the Endless Line’.
‘We're all kind of very obliged that the next part of the Harry-Potter legacy has been so well done and so well made.’

‘What Universal Orlando has done with Harry-Potter is really; really fantastic;’ said Radcliffe; who plays the schoolboy wizard; at the opening ceremony.
Radcliffe was joined at the opening by associate Potter actors Rupert Grint (who plays Ron Weasley); Michael Gambon (Albus Dumbledore); Warwick Davis (Filius Flitwick); Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley); Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom); Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George Weasley).


Bill Davis; president of Universal Orlando Resort; said: ‘We have brought to life a cultural phenomenon that has captured the hearts and minds of millions of people around the world.’
The park has two roller coasters and a ride which takes guests on a flight through Harry's life; including encounters with Dementors and a dragon and projections of characters from the film.

People’s Choice- Harry Potter Theme Park

The much awaited theme park at Orlando Universal Resort- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter- has finally opened its doors to millions of fans worldwide on June 18, 2010. The muggles- or ordinary humans without any magical power- are gathering at the park in hundreds to have a close look at the mystery world of Hogwarts. Spread across the huge 20 acre piece of land, this theme park has the Hogwarts caste, the dingy alleys, ever-moving staircases, dimly lit corridors, huge portraits, Broomstick Restaurant, Ollivander’s wand store, Zonko’s shop.



The authorities at Orlando Universal Resort in Florida had already begun a brief preview session. Only a limited number of visitors were allowed into this Harry Potter theme park that is located at the Isle of Adventures section in Orlando Universal Resort. Even during the preview session the place was predicted to be popular. Thousands of fans were queuing up for getting entry passes for the guided tour around the Hogwarts castle. Harry Potter theme park was popular during the summer there is a buzz around the Internet this new Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park Universal Studios in Orlando is failed, then 132 runners in distress. Officials from the Orlando Fire Department responded to 911 calls from riders and evacuated the passengers, but said there was no medical complaints. I visited last week and I had to leave because people rode my two children and I were comfortable with their safety. The Owlery looked like it secretes people of pages it was so crowded. There was a line of 100 meters to enter the Dervish and Bang - the door! All this being said, Universal Orlando opened the new park at peak times, there are a few slow weeks throughout the year, but they are the least busy times of the year in Orlando and is expected to be the least busy Park Harry Potter. None of the peak periods will be a day of school holidays. When families are free from school, they go to Orlando.
